Chip cutting work like turning, milling, engravement, drilling and planing.
For instance: Cannon barrel drilling, surfacing of cylinder heads, weapon repair, turning of bearing busings etc.

Welding and repairs.

Warm forging and heat treatment.
For instance: Sharpening chisels and wedge point bars, repairs of axes, manufacturing of tools etc.

Castings in iron, bronze, brass, aluminum, silver and gold. The casting is mainly performed through sand casting.
For instance: fire grates, wedding rings, machine parts etc.
